Rachel Ruth Romanu
Rachel Ruth founded Simple Silhouette with the vision to positively influence the world. Her attraction to fashion was evident from an early age—about the same time her affinity for teaching took root as Miss Rachel to a classroom of stuffed animals—and her steadfast faith in God has always been a priority in her life.
Born to Romanian immigrant parents and being raised in a Christian home, she witnessed two things on a daily basis: one, the love of Christ in her parents’ relationship and two, the value of hard work. Her parents fled their home country not only to escape religious persecution but also to pave the way for a better, brighter and more prosperous future for their children. She is the middle child of three, an older sister and a younger brother. Growing up in the land of possibility Rachel Ruth’s parents always encouraged her and her siblings to be leaders, not followers.
Overcoming a season of hardship in 2012—saturated with heartbreak, setbacks and low self-esteem—Rachel Ruth emerged stronger in faith and more confident in her worth. A key lesson she learned, and now passionately shares is this: your identity and your value rest in Christ alone. Through her work, she hopes to share that message of truth and lead women to a better understanding of what it means.
Rachel Ruth resides in Orange County, CA. She enjoys cooking, reading, bonding over board games, watching movies, and traveling. A huge fan of giving back and showing kindness, Rachel Ruth finds great satisfaction in serving others through volunteerism.
